Welcome to our Lab

Here at the Zoetic Robotics Laboratory, we work at the intersection of robotics, materials science, and energy/power systems. Our goal is to improve the endurance, adaptability, and autonomy of robots, thus unlocking their potential for widespread use in our modern world. As our group’s name suggests, much of our work is inspired by living systems, particularly how they comprise multifunctional structures, store energy throughout their entire bodies, and harvest resources from their environments. We seek to emulate these characteristics in our work in order to close the performance gap between robots and organisms.
